We all have heard of the time as shown in movies, when a WAR BREAKS OUT, and soldiers pack up their Gears which includes their Guns and Ammunition and set out for the war. Well, the same sort was for us. On the dawn of 21st march, 22 such soldiers geared up with their kits but the difference was that these soldiers in A'bad took their CAMERA as their weapon to "Shoot" as nicely and as dynamically as they could. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Deepak John Mathew, Photography Cordinator, NID and he gave the tips about photography. And it was very helpful for us to take the photography. ![]() It was a pleasant morning with plans to tour A'bad in its HERITAGE wing, the heritage walk viz. organized by volunteers from Heritage walk. We started off our walk in our group with our Faculty and our personal guide Mr. Abin Alex, director and founder of the CREATIVE HUT We were sitting in a room at the Swaminarayan Mandir, busy fidling our camera and setting our self up, and soon in our talks the ICE BROKE amongst us and we were at ease, especially those who came from outside of A'bad, like from Baroda and even Surat just for this workshop. And then it started with a small presentation by one of the volunteers of the club of the Mandir, and then we set out for the HERITAGE WALK. All of us were encouraged by our tutor Mr.Abin Alex to be as creative and as free as we could and ask him as much questions we would like to. Thus we all started with our weirdest of our angles and techniques. starting from one place to another the walk which is generally taken to be a walk where people just listen to the guide and move on, we the students of Creative Hut did not only come to know about the significance of the place and its history but we also looked beyond it, the architecture, the places, buidings, people and all the animals that came in our way so as to capture them in our camera and make the moment live forever. Aspects of photographic categories like heritage photography, architecture photography, STREET Photography, Portrait Photography, Animal photography and candid Photography and also Abstract Photography were all that we not only learnt but practiced as well so that we could get to know what they are. The settings of the camera, the composition of the frame, colors, time, duration etc were all the aspects of learning in the Workshop and most importantly at the end of the Workshop we all were filled with the knowledge and information about photography which came with sharing of each and every person present there. The interaction and unconventional style of workshop made the workshop even more special with amazing memories. I am sure that the students are awaiting the next Workshop. |
