Can you imagine a world without photography? From preserving that perfect toothless smile from your childhood to that dearly picture of your late grandparents, a world without photography is unimaginable. It is way more than just instagram virals and business, photographs are stored memories carefully curated with the perfect light, time, and emotions.

Capturing moments with a click is about connecting our past, present and future! Photographs are so powerful that it can bring forth revolutions; become an eye-opener to hard realities. The infamous photograph ‘The Vulture and the Little Girl’ by Kevin Carter showcases how a single click is capable of shaking the world and on the flip side, the beautiful capture by Alfred Eisenstaedt of the V-J Day in Time Square is a reflection of the sheer bliss after a disasterous war.

Through Mystic Lights, I zero in at touching the emotional nodes of life. It is an assorted collection of moody images that shines brighter than dark matters. My profound admiration for everything black and my juggling with shadow and light is well reflected in the book. Mostly judged as an emotionless shade, black is rather connected with negativity. I would like to paint a different image and bring out the emotions hidden in black.
