The fundamental elements of happiness in life are something to do with love and hope.
“Raison D’être” is a French phrase which conveys our “reason for being”. This is a sense of our well-being, life’s satisfaction, the joy from doing something and a sense of finding life’s purpose. It’s what makes us happy and motivates us to get out of bed each morning. Finding our greatest passion is the first step in finding the reason for our existence. Then we have to discover the medium by which we can express that passion.
Imagination and creativity have always been my fuel for life since childhood. Photography has breathed life into these. Finding the medium to express these, has given me a sense of fulfilment. It encourages me to start my work every day with enormous energy and a positive attitude. I have poured my soul and all my energy into this book to make the photographs lively.
I have chosen analogue and primary colours for creating the photographs in this book. Different types of props and lights are being used to enhance the charm of the main subject. Lastly, a little bit of retouching in software has made them more attractive. I have always tried to focus on the little things to give them a touch of life.
This book will always make me feel fulfilled because every picture is filled with my imagination, creativity and inspiration from life. It would not be possible without finding my reason for being.
We all have a unique reason, but one thing in common is that we are all seeking the purpose of life. I hope all my readers will take some inspiration from this book and try to find their own “Raison D’être”.
