Only female artists are now present in this mesmerising performance, which previously only featured the women of Kerala’s Ambalavasi Nambiar group, known as Nangyaramma. Drawing influence from the book “Sree Krishna Charitam,” the stories unfold to the rhythmic beats of the mizhavu, as the actress crafts elaborate stories of Lord Krishna using expressive hand gestures, facial expressions, and exquisite body movements.
