Plain prinia

Southeast Asia is home to the little cisticolid warbler known as the plain prinia (Prinia inornata), sometimes referred to as the plain wren-warbler or white-browed wren-warbler. From South China and Southeast Asia to Pakistan and India, it is a resident breeder.
These 13–14 cm long warblers have a short black bill, powerful legs, a longish tail, and short, rounded wings.

Graceful Balance The Plain Prinia stands still on a perch.

Adults’ breeding plumage is grey-brown above, with rufous fringes on the closed wings and a small white supercilium. They have whitish-buff underparts. The most exciting time to see Plain Prinias is during the breeding season, which typically lasts from March through September. In order to attract females, males during this time become extremely vocal and perform a wide variety of calls and songs.
