Becomings by Basil Mathew

The portfolio “Becoming’s” is the project prepared with different genres of photography. For instance Art & Culture, Portrait, Abstract, Birds, Macro, Landscape, Fashion, Food, and Product. These have been expressed through various major forms such as Photo Story, Single Photo, Photo Essay, and Photo Novel. This book is about the end is the beginning of the unexpected challenges one will encounter. As it is said that the retention of state or change lies precisely between the beginning and the end. And that is nothing but time. Surprisingly, it will be unacceptable to some because most of the people are trapped in their logic.

In this book, one will witness the new beginning from mud i.e, nothing but the pottery in art and culture photography. As it is the oldest human inventions of livelihood. Moreover, one will go through the hidden trick of abstract photography. By the same token, will go through the art that does not attempt to represent external reality. But in fact, seeks to achieve its effects using shapes, forms, colors, and textures.

Basil Mathew is from Muvattupuzha, Kerala. He got interested in photography sometime back when he was staying with his uncle who was a photographer too. He used to observe his photography work from then. Impressed with those photos, he wished to take photography as his career. Thereupon, he has completed his portfolio “Becoming’s” within a span. Photography is all about taking the right decision at the right time. He has completed his Professional Diploma in Art of Photography from the Creative Hut Institute of Photography, Kerala, India.
