Smoke art photography is one of those genres that’s an acquired taste. In its purest and simplest interpretation, it’s photography where the subject is smoke.
One of the best descriptive terms for smoke art photography is aleatoric. It is an aleatoric art form because it is art that’s created through chance, relying heavily on randomness to give it its spark. The beauty of smoke art photography is that there isn’t a rulebook in place to dictate what the exact, correct way of photographing smoke is.
Many exposure is a technique in photography and cinematography in which the camera shutter is opened multiple times to expose the film multiple times, generally to diverse pictures. The succeeding pictures are overlaid over the original in the resultant image.
The method may be used to produce ghostly pictures or to add people and items to a scene that were not previously there. That you use a manual winding camera. When using an automated winding camera, the film is normally wrapped to the next frame as soon as the picture is captured.
