Capturing the essence of moments in each frame is an art that needs to be experienced and practiced.
The first module of this course gives a brief idea of the techniques and framing in photography. It provides students with all the necessary knowledge in the fundamentals of photography and editing. From an introduction to various types of cameras, and lenses; this module covers camera settings, techniques, principles of exposure, etc... And further explores landscape photography, wildlife photography, travel photography, portrait photography, fashion photography, product photography, and advertising photography. On the other hand, students are introduced to photo editing, in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Here, students are taught the technique of retouching, image enhancements, and artistic photo editing with color correction, and color grading. Finally, the photography projects, photo editing, and practical assignments help students to develop a unique portfolio.

The Grammar and Aesthetics of Lighting
Lighting is an essential tool in photography as well as cinematography, that helps to create stories, and craft depth in every frame.
The second module of the diploma in cinematography course focuses on the technical and artistic aspects of lighting for stills and videos. Students are practically encouraged here to experience and capture under natural light, as well as studio lighting. Learning is involved with how to set up basic lighting systems like the three-point lighting system, etc... With hands-on practice, students learn how to practically use reflectors, diffusers, and softboxes with different light sources.

The development of unique cinematography is made easier by the process of crafting narratives through the skillful creation of characters, plots, scripts, and various stories.
The most enjoyable aspect of this cinematography course is the opportunity to learn and understand the essential principles of narratives. It includes the plot structure, character development, dialogue composition, and script. In addition to learning how to write their own stories and scripts, students also learn how to write screenplays for documentaries and short films through this course.

Visual Narratives: Videography
This session of the videography course enables students to form powerful visual stories. Students here learn and create interesting and meaningful stories with the use of shots, scenes, and sequences.
Along with these, they learn and experience hands-on sessions of different camera movements, framing, and composition. This module focuses on the practical creation of visuals. Students here learn storytelling techniques, with a clear understanding of the camera settings, and lens selection. It also covers gimbal operation, and its handling, with various other aspects of videography. In order to build strong visual storytelling skills, students are engaged with practical assignments. And further with video projects, green screening techniques, live streaming, and hands-on practices with helicam shots.

Shot Film and Documentary
The most energetic and interesting module of this cinematography course is the making of videos from scripts to finally on screen.
Students learn here the entire flow of the production, from the beginning to the final output. It is where the previsualization, that is the pre-production, is formed to the making that is the production and thereafter to the final post-production. Students learn the process of making short films and documentaries by practically undergoing the projects. Further, students learn how to work, and have coordination with a crew, and manage the process for successful output. This module concentrates on the entire workflow of cinematography. Students must take care of the infrastructures of the hostel and the institute such as plates, cups, iron box, washing machine, shelves, cot, table, chairs, fans, studio accessories, etc... and maintain it properly. We organize National and International tours during the courses. However, it is to be noted that the cost of these tours need to be borne by the students themselves. Tour costs for all national as well as international tours are additional and are not included in the course fees. Henceforth, the tour costs and expense will be informed to the students. Interested students need to pay it in the first month of the course. Another key point, is that all tours are not compulsory.
Diploma in Cinematography : Eligibility Criteria
Cinematography Course after 10th
Candidates with a minimum qualification of 10th grade from any state or central board may also apply for the exam. However, on the grounds of their experience in the industry and or the interview with him/her, his/her application for the same may considered.
Cinematography Course after 12th
Any stream (Science, Commerce or Arts) with at least 10+2 passes from a recognized board. Students who meet these requirements are eligible to take this course.
Cinematography Courses after Graduation
Any Graduation students can also apply. Graduation is not compulsory. An entrance exam cannot fulfill to find an applicant. We need a student who is willing to do hard work and has patience.
Diploma in Cinematography : DURATION
Candidates will be pursuing this course with the study structure implemented by the institute, from time to time. Particularly, there are instructional classes including the theory classes, practical classes, fieldwork, and Portfolio of altogether 11 months duration ie. 216 to 240 days.
Note : This total duration includes the sessions to cover the syllabus of PDCP & MESC.
