The richness of reality is only revealed when a photograph is taken and a moment is frozen. An image is captured, a moment immortalised. “Frozen in time,” says celebrated French photojournalist Gilles Mingasson, referring to the way photography stops time and allows viewers to see something they might otherwise miss in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Motion photography is a technique used in both still and motion photography. Motion Photo adds context to the shot by capturing a few seconds of motion before the shutter button is activated.Sometimes, instead of freezing a moment, we’d like to show the movement that we sometimes crave as an afterthought from still photographs. The storytelling element makes photographs showing motion that much more interesting. Such as panning and splashing etc.

Creating the mood is another factor that makes movement stand out. A picture of a car frozen in time is just a picture of a car, but the same picture with the background blurred and the automobile the only thing in focus adds a little bit more depth.Actions can be frozen in midair in order to capture motion. With a fast shutter speed and burst mode, sports photographers usually achieve this. To capture movement and highlight a moment of drama, one must practice freeze motion photography. Our eye fills in the blanks and automatically associates these shots with a specific move.
