Photographers often capture landscapes to relive personal observations or experiences in the outdoors, especially while traveling. Others embrace it as part of an outdoor lifestyle to connect with nature, while some use it as a way to escape the artificial world.

I started my journey in search of landscapes for my camera to start its job. The destination was a place that sustained the beauty of nature as it is and that place was Mannalamkunnu Beach haven’t seen so much beauty anywhere else, fully surrounded by pine trees. I witnessed many people relaxing and enjoying the waves and sea with the effect of a mild breeze.

A Hidden Haven of Serenity

The factor that distinguishes this beach from the others is that it is not at all polluted and also there is a calm quiet atmosphere. I think the main reason is that not polluted because not too many people and aware of this beach. They do not even know a beach like this even exists. I also noticed a reduced number in the count of fishermen living there. One main thing I felt about this place is that you can be so much relaxed sitting on the seashore and that is evident from the faces of the people who were present there. Before it was too dark I left that beautiful beach bidding a farewell.

The Serenity and Life of Thrissur’s Hidden Gem

Among the several stunning beaches of kerala, the most beautiful one is Mannalamkunnu beach located in Thrissur. The main beach however is calm. Even before the sun rises and warms the sea , we can see men going to working process. The fisherman decides the type of catch and set out in the middle of the night or very early in the morning depending on that. They catch fish with metal hooks suspended by nylon threads tied to a long rod and they sail deep.

Some days, they enjoy a bountiful catch, while on others, they return empty-handed, bearing only the cost of fuel. They remove the catch from the net and sort it by type, with crabs, salmon, and sardines being among the most common. They equip themselves with different types of nets depending on the intended catch.

But to get a catch using their nets they don’t have to sail far also. A ride in their unmotorised boats before sunrise will do. But there are also times when they go deep sea fishing in large boats stocked with food and water to help them survives for more days at the sea. Once they are back in the morning, the boat is hauled to shore by the fisherman, who venture out in groups of four, sharing the burden, cost, profit and losses alike people.
The fishermen are free to relax, spend time with family and catch up on gossip over mending nets and preparing for the next day. One of the best beaches in whole of kerala is not so famous when it comes to tourism. Its really good place. Evening are spent out it a calm and neat surroundings. A good view of sunset gives a whole lots of relaxation. It’s near the town of kunnamkulam.

Munnar Colony

The name Munnar is believed to mean “three rivers referring to its location at the convergence of the Mu- dhirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers. If there is a heaven on earth that is Munnar and that can be said without any doubt. People from all over the world can be and seen here to have a view a feel of this heaven. This is the perfect example to prove that it is real scene heaven. The road to munnnar is as good as munnar it self.

Paradise of Scenic Beauty

The scene can make any traveler take a look and enjoy the view. Old Munnar, home to the tourist information office, and Munnar, where the bus station and most guest houses are located, divide the town into two parts. Small houses nestled among the vast tea plantations enhance the beauty of the landscape. There are also facilities for accommodation in between these plantations. Mattupetty Dam is one of the must-visit points at Munnar. It is located nearest to Munnar town. The view of the lake with background mountains was just breathtaking. At the nearby local market, if you are a foodie, you will get plenty of items to glitter your taste buds. But most of the shops sell cashew nuts and homemade chocolates here. Speed boating at this Madupatty dam is a must if you are traveling here. The boat ride’s turns, twirls, and twists make it well worth the money. A spot called Viewpoint offers a stunning panoramic view of the tea plantations. The greenery and the plantations are perfect at that place. Best suited for photography, the scenic beauty of the lake and the surroundings will mesmerize you.

Top Station Vattavada

Exploring the Hilltops

Most locations in Munnar are generally known for their slopes, rare fauna and a wonderful view of the valley. Vattavada is a region with a lot of hilltops. I had been there once before and I happened to see a herd of elephants roaming around on the hilltop. This time I was not fortunate enough to have the same view again. Maybe because it was summer season and the elephant were finding shelter in between the woods. This time I could only see the dryness and may be that is the reason the elephants went in search of food. Vattavada is such a wonderful place. The beauty of Munnar can be seen all through the way. This is the main attraction point for all the tour its. The tea plantations and the climate are also same of the magnetic factors. That attracts more and more people. If you want to experience Munnar you have to be there in the months starting from December to April.

The experience was ever memorable and unexplianable. The perfect landscape gave a treat to the eyes as well as to the heart. From this I come to a conclusion that heavens are not just heavenly. It is here on this very earth we live.
