The city’s towering skyline mirrors itself on the calm river, blending architecture with beautiful reflections.
In Ripples & Towers, the context highlights the tension between urban towers and the placid river. As the images unfold, the towering structures of Navi Mumbai rise beside the flowing waters of Airoli Creek. Meanwhile, this contrast between natural and artificial gradually reveals the harmony in which urban space evolves within the city’s landscape.

Rippling Journey A quiet journey unfolds.
While vashi Creek silently observes the changes in Navi Mumbai, Ripples & Towers a fusion of skyscrapers stands tall over it, while the few ripples from the creek or on the water surface contrast with those firm towers below, signifying how nature’s unpredictability somehow coexists with humans steady ambition. Reflections on that water surface reflect a certain calmness, offering the eye respite from the bustling city life.

River Reverie Majestic towers reflection.
All photographs in this chapter emphasize the reflective character of the water’s surface, seamlessly mirroring the architecture of the towers. Consequently, they create a striking interplay between structure and reflection.. The stillness of the creek serves as a natural buffer, thus augmenting the visual tension between natural and built environments. This combination gives rise to a certain stillness against the background of that area becoming a living city.

Skyline Mirror Urban Silhouettes Reflected.
Ripples & Towers captures the towers set against the river, illustrating how urban spaces continuously transform over time. Meanwhile, the steady flow of water alongside the rising structures highlights the dynamic relationship between nature and human development. The Airoli Creek, with its tranquil waters, offers an oasis amid the rapidly developing surroundings: it stands in stark contrast to the very idea of the town, since for all its growths and fluctuations, the cities have to learn to live with the rivers that have made them.
