On April 20, 2024, the serene village of Mattakkara in Kottayam came alive with fervent devotion and vibrant festivities for the St. George’s Feast in Karimpany celebrated its annual festival. Devotees marked this special day with a series of sacred and joyous events, eagerly anticipated all year long, which brought the community together in a spirit of faith and unity.

The day’s program commenced with a grand procession. It was a sight to behold as it wound its way through the village streets. Devotees carried the statue of St. George, beautifully adorned with flowers, while the rhythmic beats of drums and the melodies of the church band filled the air.
