Transmute by Shubham Kurrey

A photograph is an image recorded that the human eye can see. The main purpose of the photographs is to capture the various moments of life such as happiness, fun, friendship, etc. Photography plays an important role in each one of our lives. They connect us to our past, they remind us of people, place, feeling, and stories. With photography, we can freeze the moments as well as the movement in all the things of that time. By the same token, introduced the “Transmute” portfolio.

Photography is an art, which allows us to implement different styles and creativity in our photographs. In photography, there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality. Moreover, it makes us realize that; Photography is not just about clicks. It is the art form of portraying the complete story within a single photo itself. And that’s what makes me passionate about Photography.

The title “Transmute” is reflected in the book throughout. It means to Customize. Therefore, my photographs are categorized into different chapters which convey that we can customize ourselves and our lives. It is all about how to live our lives in different ways, modify or build according to the individual or personal specifications or preference, etc… For instance, our living, food, dressing clothes, use of products, etc.

The new generation has a totally different approach towards their lives. They follow their thinking and want to change everything around them as per their thoughts. Along with that they customize and transmute almost what comes their way. Photography itself had many changes and transformations since its beginning. Here, with the theme ‘Transmute’, it’s an effort to show how things can be customized and transformed as per the needs and requirements through the medium of Photography

Photography brings us closer to reality and makes us believe seen and unseen facts. It is an art, which allows us to implement different styles and creativity in our photographs. It’s not just about clicks, instead, it’s the art form of portraying the complete story within a single photo itself. And that’s what makes me passionate about Photography. Thereupon, showcasing the portfolio “Transmute”. It is all about experiencing the world around and making the world know about it. He finds himself a communicator expressing ideas and thoughts through different genres of photography from nature to the streets, indoors and outdoors, as well as real-life stories to the commercial. Furthermore, he has completed his Professional Diploma in Art of photography from Creative hut Institute of Photography, Kerala, India.
